I'm looking for a good location to buy Mexican silver libertads at a good price. None of this double melt-cost from places like Panda America, but close to spot as possible.
Can this be done in the U.S.?

I have 10 or 12 of them, and I got mine on Ebay. You can get some there, but with the price of silver going up, you will pay a little more than spot prices.
When I bought mine, they were around $3.50 to $4.00, but now they are around $15 to $20 each.
They are a beautiful coin, and I am going to have to part with mine, even though I don't want to.

Sounds like you want our cake and eat it too. Sorry but any place that sells them will charge postage and it will be high due to the new postage rates plus insurance. Panda America is the last place I would buy anything. Go to a coin dealer and see if he has Numismatic News it comes out once a week. It may take a few issues but you will find a seller of them and maybe you can deal. Since they are traded on the open London silver market you will never get them real cheap. First dealers sell for at least 10%, but usually more over spot and they do have added value because like the American Eagle they are a collectible. I have seen them for 10% over spot, but the catch was you had to buy at lest a 100 of them.
i live in mexico and dont know what they are if you could tell me i may be able to help you i go to the states every 3 months and could ship them from there
